August- Registration packages are available by the last week of August for Group Committees to complete their registrations in September.

September- registration is held for all youth and adult members.
- Sections begin their meetings.
- third week - Operation Alert is held for Scouts and Venturers.

October- Apple Day (Saturday) - the same weekend as the annual teachers' conference day (Friday)
- Hallowe'en parties
- training courses usually begin in October or November
- popcorn campaign begins

December- Christmas themes, sale of Christmas crafts, parties

- winter training courses may resume

February
- Scout-Guide week. Always scheduled to include the Founder's birthday on February 22nd. Activities include:
- Kub Kars races for Cubs
- Scout-Guide service at church
- Applications for Chief Scout's Award due at the end of February

April- White-tail camp for 7-year-old Beavers

May
- First Saturday - Scoutrees
- Chief Scout's and Queen's Venturer Award ceremony
- Scouting Awards banquet for Halifax and Dartmouth Areas
- Fantasy Camp for Scouts & Venturers

June
- Many Scout sections close down for summer
- Some sections may hold a major outing after school is over
|
July
- Some sections remain active during the summer with a variety of activities
- Major camping events, like jamborees, are usually held this month
